Examine your own DNA (minus microscope)

Have you ever wished you could see the clumps/strands of genetic materials that make you unique and make you...you?
You can, and there's no fancy lab equipment required because we don't have them! :)) In this activity, we will learn how to extract our own DNA using just a few common household items.

We simply need a clear glass, a teaspoon, magnifying glass (optional), denatured alcohol, liquid detergent and a pinch of Sodium chloride. Viola! We can see our own DNA right before our very eyes!

We will be doing this activity tomorrow in class.
